The garden at 28 Kensington Road, Bristol. BS5 7NB is owned by Grenville Johnson & Alan Elms.
•The garden was chosen by Alan Titchmarsh as one of his best British back gardens, and the garden was featured on his television series.
•The garden was featured on BBC's ‘Gardeners World ’.
•The garden was also featured as an inspirational rear garden on BBC’s ‘One Show’ during February 2025.
•It is also featured in the book: ‘Dream Gardens of England’ published by Merrell.
•The garden was also featured in Frances Tophill’s book: ‘First Time Gardener.’
•The garden has also been featured on television’s ‘The Great British Garden Revival’
and in garden magazines, and also on local radio.
•In 2006 the garden was selected by The Daily Mail
as a finalist in the National Garden Competition.
The lower garden is below the Folly Ruin.
This area includes the pond, a bird table, insect & bird nesting boxes, the Stumpery and the Fernery.

The lower garden incorporates a large pond that is home to numerous Goldfish and Koi Carp.
Above the pond is a stone classical arch with a mirror inserted to reflect more light into the garden,
and also give the illusion of more space.

The Stumpery is a Victorian garden convention, and the planted tree roots and twisted wooden branches
provide a haven for insects. Our Stumpery was inspired by the famous stumpery at Highgrove the garden owned by HRH King Charles.

During early spring many bulbs around the garden begin to flower and they provide splashes of colour to the garden.
